Is my receipt data really private?
Yes. Scanning, text recognition and categorization all happen on your iPhone using Apple's on-device frameworks. ReceiptX has no servers and never uploads your images or expense data.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There's no sign-up and no login. Open the app and start scanning — everything is stored locally on your device.
How does ReceiptX make money?
ReceiptX is free to try, with a one-time in-app purchase to unlock Premium. There's no subscription and no advertising — so we never have a reason to collect your data.
Can I get my data out?
Absolutely. Export any or all of your receipts as a CSV file or a formatted PDF report at any time, straight from the iOS share sheet.
What happens if I delete the app?
Because your data lives only on your device, deleting the app removes it. We recommend exporting a backup first if you'd like to keep a copy.
